North Norfolk.... 6th-10th April 2011.

Day 1.
The journey to North Norfolk started off well at 6.30am but unfortunately went rapidly downhill 40 miles into the journey, nevertheless it was a relief to finally arrive safely in Wells-Next-the-Sea at 4.00pm!!! The Lake at the caravan site held Oystercatcher, Cormorant, Mallard and B H Gulls. A Chaffinch was singing in a tree looking resplendent in the sunshine!
After a Fish and Chip supper and a much needed rest a walk along the outskirts of Wells Wood was delightful! Grey Partridge were feeding in a field, a lifer for me..what a start to the long weekend! Marsh Harriers, Curlew, a single Little Egret, 2 Barn Owls, bunnies galore and a quick sighting of the back end of a Muntjac were viewed as the sun began to set on a warm and very atmospheric evening.
