Birds seen today at Dowles Brook: Dipper, Marsh, Great, Blue and Coal Tit, Long-tailed Tit, Blackbird, House Sparrow, Goldfinch, Chaffinch, Bullfinch, Siskin, Redpoll, Nuthatch, Goldcrest, Yellowhammer, Raven and Sparrowhawk. I missed a Hawfinch as I was enjoying the splendid views of Bramblings!
Buzzards were very much in evidence as they soared fairly low over the woodland, a delight to watch.

Super sunny photos Pam,the blue sky shows off both birds splendidly!
ReplyDeleteNice that you saw a Dipper.....always a super bird to watch aren't they!
It was a lovely sunny afternoon but still cool in the shade Ruth! Good to be out walking on such a fine day though. The Dipper was away too quickly but nevertheless still great to see, hopefully longer views may be had on a future visit, they are indeed superb birds to watch.
