Snowy Sunday! 10/12/2017

The snow was relentlessly falling and adding to the snow already on the ground, hence the garden was slowly but surely disappearing under a blanket of white snow!

Blackbirds enjoyed the berries on a Rowan tree. The tree was planted last Autumn so has some growing to go but is bearing fruit nicely.

Grey Heron spotted lurking over the fish pond that is securely netted!!!

Pansy flavoured ice cream anyone?

I cannot remember seeing such an accumulation of snow on the feeders. They are now free of snow and visible to the birds!

Not the weather for relaxing by the pond!

Party time for the Black-headed Gulls! I counted 15 though there could have been 16.;-)

" Have I said something wrong?"

Room for two

This Woodpigeon struggled with the depth of the snow.

I was really chuffed to see a Redwing in the garden!

The apples I spiked on an apple tree went down a treat as did the persimmon!
Note to self: When knocking the snow off a tree with a broom remember to try and stand out of the way to avoid the falling snow!!! I hope my neighbours were not watching me.lol

Lovely to see the snow.

Take care and stay safe everyone during this extremely cold and snowy bout of weather.

    1. A joy to see but a pity it is the harsh cold weather that brings them to our gardens.

  2. Lovely to see all your snowy scenes Pam! Had a Fieldfare in the garden yesterday, one benefit from the cold weather! Still very icy here this afternoon, roll on Spring! lol

    1. I am pleased that you enjoyed the snowy scenes Ruth!
Lovely with the Fieldfare though they do tend to be very territorial with food!
Heavy rain here this afternoon which is melting the snow in the garden now. Pavements and side roads were very icy this morning, hopefully tomorrow will show a big improvement back to normality!
