Garganey 28/03/2021

A few images of the Drake Garganey that had been reported locally during the last week. Although it was a very windy and somewhat dull day the Garganey was showing quite well as it fed in the water. A lovely duck to catch up as we do not often get the chance to see one!

  1. Some great pictures of an elusive duck - for me anyway; there's been one hanging around here all winter but he's always avoided me!

  2. Lovely images of a smart duck Pam, they always remind me of Lindisfarne in the NE, we came across one completely unexpectedly in a ditch while looking at the castle.......nice memories my friend!

    1. Good you have had memories rekindled Ruth! It was a super duck to see and it looked quite dainty next to a Drake Mallard that passed closely by the Garganey.
