Upton Warren....20/03/2011

After a relaxing morning after the night before a stroll around Upton Warren was partaken in the afternoon. Highlights were Avocet, Green Sandpiper, Redshank, Oystercatcher, Common Snipe, Shoveler, Shelduck, Reed Bunting, G S Woodpecker, Chiffchaff, at least 4 with great views of one though it didn't hang around for a photoshoot, Lesser-black Backed Gull and a Med Gull. A pair of Great Crested Grebes held my attention as they gracefully added plant debris to their nest, a delight to see.

  1. Sounds like you had a good time Pam and managed to get some good shots to.

  2. Thank you for your kind comment Richard! A pity the light wasn't brighter for the shots but it was still good watching the Grebes nesting!

  4. Thank you Ruth! I know what you mean, you wouldn't think it was the same bird when they are out of the water! I am looking forward to seeing their 'Humbug' offsprings!
