"It is daffodil time, so the robins all cry,
For the sun’s a big daffodil up in the sky,
And when down the midnight the owl calls “to-whoo”!
Why, then the round moon is a daffodil too;
Now sheer to the bough-tops the sap starts to climb,
So, merry my masters, it’s daffodil time."
Clinton Scollard
What a lovely poem Pam,illustrated perfectly by your glorious Daffodil images!
ReplyDeleteI just love daffodils don't you Pam
ReplyDeleteThanks Ruth, I thought you may appreciate the poem! I contemplated this poem:
ReplyDeleteSpring has sprung, the grass has ris’,
I wonder where the birdie is?
There he is up in the sky,
He dropped some whitewash in my eye!
I‘m alright, I won't cry,
I'm just glad that cows can't fly!
I think I made the right choice to compliment the Daffodils.lol!
I do love Daffodils Richard! Even on a rainy day such as today they cheer the garden up! A ray of sunshine in one's own garden!
lol....yes I think you did.....a funny verse though!!
